college...yay?
so last week i said bye to alot of people and headed out to college. ill try to recap all i did
tuesday - picnic with the guys at park by nolan, me and phil grilled hot dogs and then we played ultimate frisbee, some guy who is touring the country taking pictures of parks for some book stopped by and he wanted to take some pictures of us playing than he started playing too and he kicked ass, he had played for 4 years on the univ of georgia team.
wed - went and did a rosary with emily, chelsea, andrew and andrews brother for the WYD kids. then me, em, and chels went to rosa's for some food. also the last night me and katie made a midnight frosty trip, there were alot of trains we saw and it was fun.
thurs - went to go see Frolic play at the aardvark with erin. they put on a good show and i got an autographed cd from them
fri - went out to eat with my family and genna. then took genna home played some pacman and said goodbye, for about an hour. that was really hard. with all my other friends it was like college is the next thing and we are all going our separate ways. but it was alot harder saying goodbye to someone who i pretty much spent the last few months of my life with.
sat - woke up at 5, packed my car and started driving, stopped in indianapolis for the night around 9 or 10ish at night
sun - finished the drive and made it to my dad's house around 2ish, unpacked the car and did other stuff i dont remember. ohyea there was a block party on their street that day so i went and hung out there, met some of the kids on the street and played ghost in the graveyard for a little bit
mon - drove to pitt and got my books and walked around a bit
tues - drove to target and picked up some stuff i needed for school
wed - moved in, ran into jackie and her family while picking up my key. it was pretty hectic getting on the elevator but overall it wasn't bad at all. my dorm is alot bigger than i thought it would be. alot of the guys on my floor have guitars and the guys next door have a keyboard and drumset. got alot of my stuff put away then went to fuel and fuddle with jackie, got in a fight with a ketchup bottle, it wasn't a pretty sight. went to a meet and greet thing and they had free ice cream, then pretty much sat in my room and played guitar and went to bed
thur - today - woke up at 7 and couldn't fall asleep again, my roomate came to move in around 9ish talked to him and his family, 11 or 12ish went to lunch and met jackie and her friend pat then walked around campus, got some more stuff i needed. met my RA and more people from my floor and went to the freshman convocation together, they had free food there too, went back to my dorm and walked around for awhile longer, carrie dropped off my shower shoes and the dock to the laptop so now i could finally get on the internet. yay. they had a luau thing on the union lawn, it was cool, there was hawaiian music and hula dancers and fire twirling guys, and free food. then came back to the dorm got the net working and here i am.
